Japanese national flag, nicknamed "Meatball" by the US troops. This particular type is a good luck flag (Hinomaru Yosegaki), carried by most Japanese soldier during WW2 to provide them good luck on the battlefield. They were also a prized trophy / WW2 souvenir for the US troops fighting on the Pacific theater of Operation.

Drapeau national Japonais, surnommé “Meatball” (Boulette de viande) par les troupes Américaines. Plus particulièrement, ce drapeau est un drapeau porte-bonheur (Hinomaru Yosegaki), porté par la plupart des soldats Japonais pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale afin de leur porter bonheur sur le champ de bataille. Ils étaient également un trophée / souvenir prisé par les troupes US combattants sur le front Pacifique.
