Amazing portrait of Abraham Lincoln painted on thin ivory (abt 1/16in thick). Frame made of black painted wood and brass insert. 8 brass tongues that hold the portrait in place are broken.

Frame: 4 3/4in x 4 1/8in
Portrait : 2 7/8in x 2 3/8in

Condition :

Very well preserved. The portrait has a chip on the left side (see phoptographs). The frame is in excellent condition, with one chip on the left lower corner, only visible from the back side.

Suprenant portrait de Abraham Lincoln paint sur un fin support d'ivoire.(environ 2mm d'épaisseur). Le cadre est fait de bois peint en noir, avec un insert en laiton. 8 langues en laiton servant à maintenir le portrait sont cassées

Condition :

Très bien préservé. Une partie du portrait est manquante sur la partie gauche (voir photographies). Le cadre est en excellent état, avec 1 éclat sur le coin inférieur gauche, seulement visible sur le dos du cadre.
