Rare pair of pattern 1936 Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) flight boots.

Black leather construction with fleece lining and upper tightening straps.

The size, fitting, and manufacturer are stamped on the inner pull tabs. These boots were made by Bedggood out of Melbourne Australia and are a size 8, fitting 6.

These boots were highly prized by US Army Air Forces pilots and crew member who often would trade or ''borrow'' them from RAAF crew members.

Size 8 - Fitting 6 (Australian/UK Size), corresponds to a size 9 (US)
Condition :
Good condition with moderate field wear on the outer leather and soles. One small tear at the top of the left boot.

Rare paire de bottes de vol du modèle 1936 de la Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

Construction en cuir couleur noire avec doublure en laine de mouton et sangle de serrage supérieure.

Les marquages de taille et de fabricant sont présent sur les languettes intérieures. Ces bottes sont de fabrication 'Bedggood, Melbourne, Australia' et sont de taille: 8 - Largeur: 6..

Ces bottes étaient très prisées par les pilotes et membres d'équipages de l'US Army Air Forces / Army Air Corps qui, très souvent, les échangeaient ou les ''empruntaient'' aux équipages de la RAAF.

Bonne condition avec usure modérée sur le cuir et sur les semelles. Une petite déchirure sur la partie supérieure de la botte gauche.
