Mint example of a model 1917 US Doughboy steel helmet as issued to most US Doughboys during WW1.
The leather liner and chinstrap are strong and in excellent condition.
There is an illegible handwriting stencil on the front of the helmet and a black ink unknown code on the inside skirt.
The helmet shell is stamped “ZC60” indicating that this helmet was manufactured by the Columbian Enameling and Stamping Company.

This is a wonderful example of the US WWI soldier’s helmet.

Casque d’acier M1917 qui équipait les “Doughboys” Américains pendant la 1ère Guerre Mondiale.
La coiffe de cuir et la jugulaire sont robustes et en très bon état.
Il y a une écriture à la main illisible sur la partie frontale du casque et un code inconnu écrit à l’encre noire sur la jupe.
La coque de casque est tamponnée « ZC60 », indiquant ainsi une fabrication par « Columbian Enameling and Stamping Company ».

Il s’agit d’un superbe exemplaire d’un casque d’un soldat Américain de la 1ère Guerre Mondiale.
