Original Vietnam War era US Air Force red wool ball cap.
Pilot wing-shaped "3539th" insignia and 2nd lieutenant insignia on blue backing sewn on the front. The 3539th insignia most probably stands for the 3539th Air Training Squadron (ATS), based in Mather Air Force Base, Calif.
Red / pinkish wool construction with 6 ventilation eyelets, leather sweatband and green cotton bill underside.
