Korean War era US Navy jet pilot flight helmet type H-4.

Original green primer and yellow paint with US Navy wings decal on front. It has its original leather chinstrap and microphone with PJ 292 plug. Manufactured by Gentex (General Textile Mills Inc.) under contract number N383s-15583A.

This helmet is/was identified to L.H. Benker. unfortunately the identification painted in the back of the helmet was scrapped off the helmet. US Navy pilot Leo H. Benker (1918 - 1977) was a WWII and Korean War veteran.

Condition :
The helmet is in good used condition, with normal wear on the shell and on the liner. It is missing one screw on the PJ 292 microphone plug.
The plastic clip of the leather chinstrap is broken but still holds it in place.

Casque de vol de la période de la guerre de Corée d'un pilote de jet de l'US Navy de type H4.

Peinture jaune et base verte originales avec décalcomanie d'ailes de la Navy sur la partie frontale. Il dispose de sa jugulaire en cuir originale avec micro doté d'une prise PJ 292. Fabrication Gentex (General Textile Mills Inc.) sous le contrat numéro N383s-15583A.

Ce casque est / fut identifié à L.H. Benker. Malheureusement, cette identification peinte sur l'arrière du casque à été grattée. Le pilote de l'US Navy Leo H. Benker (1918 - 1977) était un vétéran de la 2eme GM et de la Corée.

Taille moyenne.
Condition :
Le casque est en bonne condition, avec une usure normale du à son utilisation sur la coque et les suspensions internes. Une vis de la prise PJ 292 est manquante.
L'un des clips en plastique de la jugulaire en cuir est cassé mais maintient encore celle-ci en position.
