Little Bighorn commemoration postcard - Circa 1917. Representing the monument on Custer's hill erected in June 1877, a year after the battle. This postcard is the No. 2 of a serie and copyrighted L.A. Huffman, Miles City, Montana. The original photograph was taken on the Little Bighorn battlefield, known as Custer's last stand, where, on June 25th and 26th, 1876, most of the US 7th Cavalry was annihilated by the combined force of the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes.
